New sleepwear

For a long time, Piglet was into Maisy. So much so, that she WAS Maisy. She told everyone she met that Maisy was her name. I eventually stopped correcting her and decided to enjoy this phase of her childhood. Well, guess the Maisy phase is over, because now she is Strawberry Shortcake. That's what she told her Sunday school teachers today. I'm quite enjoying this and bought her some "strawberry" pajamas. By the way, I wish they hadn't modernized Strawberry Shortcake. That stinks...

Speaking of pajamas, this is one of the best inventions ever. Baby outgrew all her receiving/swaddling blankets so I decided to give it a try despite its price tag [35 bucks!]. In my experience, this is about the only thing that keeps baby arms tucked under all night. And no flailing arms = sleeping baby. She's still far from sleeping through the night [not that I expect that from a 4 week old] but she could do a pretty long stretch in this. I bought a second one just so that I don't have to wash it everyday. I seem to be justifying all my new baby purchases by telling myself I'll pass them on to my sister, who is due in January. Hmm, not the best photo. I barely had any lighting as I took this photo as fast as I could and ran out of the baby's room before she could wake up.

Hi! I use to love Strawberry Short cake when I was younger. In fact I still have the original 80s Strawberry Shortcake bed and pillow covers. So your daughter has good taste.
