I've been away too long. Must add some new photos of my babies.
We recently had the girls photographed by Shayne. She was pretty great. We focused mostly on baby since I had wanted to do her birth announcements. But now I feel like she's too big for that. Hmmm, I think I will use these for holiday cards.

Random bits.
Baby [I still haven't thought of a blog name for her] hanging out on the Bumbo chair ::
Her hair is a bit out of control these days. It's funny in a cute way. I almost got her this "Hair-Wolf" one-piece for Halloween. Too funny.
Piglet rockin' out with with one of her favorite friends [we won't be seeing him for a few years.. sniff sniff] ::

We survived a trip with 2 kids!
It was hardly vacation or anything for my husband and me, but we made it back from our trip to San Francisco to attend my cousin's wedding. Piglet did a great job as a flower girl. Her mama, however, forgot to take a single photo of her. What was I thinking? She looked really beautiful.
Piglet's fave thing whenever we go on vacation? Staying in the hotel room. Whenever we get out to do anything, she says "let's go back to the hotel!" She particularly liked staying at the Westin because of their body pillows with which she made herself into a hot dog.
They get my vote too. I love their beds, truly heavenly. Did you know they have Heavenly Cribs too? Our little one didn't get to experience it but we may have to go back to try it some time. But Piglet got her "I-must-jump-on-the-hotel-bed" fix. Many times over. I really like this shot of her.
After the wedding, we drove down to Monterey and Carmel with my sister for a few days. Carmel-by-the-sea is one of my favorite towns. Everything is still as lovely as I remember it. I think one day I want to go there by myself. Piglet had fun at the aquarium and playing with her auntie at the beach.

Skating.
Another first for Piglet. She's been wanting to try ice skating ever since seeing Strawberry Shortcake do it. So we went. My husband tried to take her on the ice. But we realized that he needs to stay on his feet first. Not that I'm good at it, but I managed to go around the rink twice holding Piglet up. We had fun but it felt like I had worked some new muscles in my legs.

Back to school.
Today was first day of school for Piglet. She was ready, and did great, I think. I'm not sure if I'm more happy or sad that she'll be in school twice a week this year. I'm thrilled to have some "me" time, well with the baby, but sad that I'm slowly losing Piglet to school, friends, the world out there.
I've bought Piglet a few pieces of clothing for school rather than one matching back-to-school outfit. I've been loving dark blue or denim on her lately. Even inspired me to make some denim hair clips for the shop. Anyway, I love the blue even more with the orange shoes . That reminds me I want to get some more of these shoes. These are so cute.

Little one.
Big one.
"I am a girl gardner!" Piglet happily exclaimed as she discovered that the tiny seeds she had planted in preschool many months back had finally blossomed into these big beauties. Whenever daddy is out working in the garden, she refers to him as a "boy gardener." I suppose that is where she got the "girl gardener" from.
I have to say, big sunflowers do make me happy.

Inside the head of a 3-year-old.
Just because I don't want to forget these...
According to Piglet,
Washing machines are made in Washington.
Curry is eaten in Korea.
Many germs live in Germany.
Someone who talks a lot [ie. herself] is talky.
And my favorite,
Mulberry is a berry that grows at the mall.
I don't think I would ever be able to come up with these...

Baby craft 01.
I'm slowly getting back to sewing again. SO many baby projects swirling in my head [I should really make a list], so little time to actually make them materialize. The sucky thing with baby projects is that babies grow too fast. For example, I made an applique onesie the other day and did not have get to finish because I ran out of matching thread. By the time I made a trip to the fabric store, it was already getting too small for the baby. Anyway, I did make a little wristlet for diapers and wipes using this tutorial. I added an inside pocket for little baggies for soiled diapers. I love this fabric and am happy with how it turned out but next time I think I will use interfacing on the front/lining part of the bag. The good thing about this project, aside from the fact that it's easy and fast, is that it will get lots of use for a long time. I could even use it to carry little things around after baby is out of diapers. Yay.
I've also been eyeing a lot of flannel lately. Just want something soft next to baby's skin. I really want to make a blanket but here are some quick burp cloths I stitched up. Flannel on the front, chanille on the back. Easy, easy.

It's a house full of girls...
...is what Piglet proclaimed today as daddy is out of the country and it's just us plus my mom around here.
Dressing my babies in cute outfits until I lose the rest of my baby weight [15 pounds to go!] ::
Big sister who likes to put her own shoes on ::
A while back I won this nursing cover giveaway. I haven't used it much for nursing but it is great for covering baby's carseat since she seems to like napping in it. I wanted to make myself one using some cute fabric. So that's how this came about.
Carseat/nursing cover ::
Reversible ::
Guess she's not a fan of Amy Butler, though ::
